Keith Raskin, founder of RASKAL Productions, is a freelance producer in the television industry. He is currently producing Kenan for NBC and Universal. Keith is known for producing single-camera comedies including Teachers, Playing House, and Impastor, and one-hour dramas like Heathers and Briarpatch. Raskin also produced four seasons of the Emmy- and Peabody Award-winning comedy series Key & Peele. Raskin frequently collaborates with executive producers John Lehr and Nancy Hower to create content for new media, such as Quick Draw for Hulu and JailBait for Crackle.com.
Keith has been tapped to produce single camera shows for Universal, Comedy Central, Hulu, Crackle, USA, UCP. FX, TBS, Sony, TV Land, Paramount Network, Reveille, and Adult Swim. All of these shows have had tight budgets and aggressive shooting schedules. When studios and networks are searching for ways to trim budgets and deliver quality-scripted television, they have turned to Keith Raskin.
Raskin honed his skills by climbing through the ranks in Reality Television. He worked as the in-house Executive In Charge for 20th Television and Foxlab. Originally brought in to oversee the Syndicated show Classmates, he was quickly tapped for other top projects at 20th Television. These included On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Live Like A Star, and making the leap into the scripted drama world with Hotel Franklin and Venice Beach.
Before landing at 20th, Raskin was brought in by Universal to help a newly-founded production company, Reveille, launch three primetime pilots for network television. He also helped start up several companies while working as the Vice President of Production for Scott Sternberg Productions. While working with Sternberg, Raskin produced over 1,500 hours of television programming including children's shows, live variety shows, talk shows, and dating shows.
Keith's versatility was put to the test and proven when Sony International turned to him to produce Married with Children in Moscow and Everybody Loves Raymond for Egypt. He's even produced two Spanish language sitcoms for Telemundo.
Raskin is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Directors Guild of America.
