Collaboration. Friendship Forging. Opportunity. These words described the night of August 4, 2016 where members of the Television Academy, Television Academy Foundation Board members, Foundation alumni and the 2016 intern class came together to celebrate the end of the summer program at the Foundation's Summer Networking Soiree.
This year's Internship Program brought close to 1500 applications from students nationwide for over 30 disciplines representing a diverse range of television vocations. Categories available to students range from scriptwriting to directing, editing to digital entertainment and more. Finalists were chosen by members of the Television Academy to interview with host companies, which included DreamWorks Animation, Nickelodeon, Awesomeness TV, Bunim-Murray Productions, to name a few.
Hosted in the Netflix Lobby of the newly-built Saban Media Center, the Foundation's community of storytelling innovators continues to grow and the Foundation's work in inspiring and educating the future of the television industry continues to expand. To meet the 2016 interns, click here.
